The Westside Middle School Chorus is a group of students who demonstrate teamwork, acceptance, perseverance, self-discipline, and personal growth through musical excellence.
Mr. Slusher is excited to join the Westside family this year as the new chorus director! Previously, Mr. Slusher was the chorus director at Clements Middle School in Covington, GA for the last four years. During his time at CLMS, his students participated in several activities including, District 4 Honor Chorus, 6th Grade Statewide Honor Chorus, and Large Group Performance Evaluation.
Mr. Slusher is a Barrow County native, growing up in Auburn and having attended WMS! His journey in music started with joining chorus and band in elementary school. There, he decided that he wanted to be a music educator. After studying with his mentors, Dr. Martha Shaw and Dr. David Gregory at Reinhardt University, he graduated with his Bachelor's in Music Education.
Greg Slusher
Besides teaching, Mr. Slusher enjoys hiking, cooking, and playing music. He is also a fan of the Harry Potter series and his favorite college football team is the University of Alabama. (Roll Tide!) Mr. Slusher currently resides in Norcross with his cat, Cleo.
